Review of First Survivor

[Following is a volunteer review of "First Survivor" by Mark Unger.]
The First Survivor" by Mark Unga is an inspirational best-seller that teaches hope, courage, resilience, determination, and teamwork.
It is a beautiful story of a young three-year-old who was given a "zero chance of survival diagnosis" as a neoblastoma survivor.
It is a memoir that clearly teaches people who have loved ones dealing with cancer how to manage the same situation and completely erase any impossibilities in the hope of overcoming the disease.
It is indeed an impossible miracle that was achieved as a family.
I watched two loved ones lose themselves to the painful world of cancer.
The pain cannot be explained or expressed except by someone who has walked the same path.
There is an African saying" United we stand, divided we fall".
This memoir clearly teaches how far you can go together as a family when you decide to work together.
It must have been very tough for a parent to be told that your child has no chance at survival.
It takes you back to all the stages, highs, and lows you went through during pregnancy and childbirth.
It is a must-read.
I would rate the book "5 out of 5" because I believe it is a great read and would definitely recommend it.
It is one of the best books I have stumbled upon in recent times.
It is one thing to read a book, but it is very important to be able to take something back after reading a book.
Lessons I have learned are "Tough times do come, but they do not last forever.".
"Impossibility is a word, but it does not have to be a yardstick that defines our lives".
"When you believe in a thing, if you are resilient and determined, you surely will achieve it".
I found it so difficult to put the book down.
An intriguing story indeed!
