PURPOSE By Gina Bianchini

Ever wondered how to find and fulfill your purpose in life with optimum impact in the fleeting maze of our digital world?

You don't have to worry anymore.

The Silicon Valley Culture Software Developer, Gina Bianchini is out with Purpose to help you succeed.

With two decades of checkered yet enviable profile circumnavigating the digital space in appropriate places, Gina Bianchini has poured out her mind and heart into the block-buster of her narrative non-fiction that won't allow you to miss your steps in the constantly-changing digital wild.

From her humble background in Cupertino, California, where grief gave her evergreen lessons on the importance of community, she witnessed the era during which garages dotting the fruit orchards of Cupertino and its environs, began to birth computer startups, notably Homebrew Computer Club which produced ambitious geeks like Steve Jobs and his friend Steve Wozniak. These two buddies later went on to set up Apple Computer, headquartered, as you might know, at Cupertino.

And she rode the roller-coaster of the dot-com boom and the dot-com bust to experiential advantage.

Additionally, with Gina's MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and her stint at Ning Networks, and with further leverage as CEO of Mighty Network, anyone serious about discovering and expressing purpose to the best possible intent and extent, can massively benefit from Gina Biancini's Purpose.

Digital natives and nomads alike can reliably depend on this brilliant tour-guide to avoid missteps through foggy digital terrains.

Now regarding fog, I could possibly miss Gina's Purpose in the beauty pageant of books of similar titles. Not so much of a beauty, really. A bit bland and academic, if you ask me. Reminiscent of those grim academic textbooks (needlessly, I believe, without special appeaL to outward finesse and aesthetics). Those I held with trepidations and had to plow through with pains with the hopes of getting good grades.

But if you're a serious purpose seeker groping for your way, any way, in the dark tunnel, and you happen to stumble on Purpose by Gina Bianchini, do yourself a huge favor. Take it. Touch it. Hold it. Don't drop it for any reason. Open it. Quickly.

And that's when the magic begins! If the title, and not the overall graphic artistry of the cover, brought you this far, chances are the contents would cast an irresistible enchanting spell on you. For a number of reasons.

Gina's writing style is simple and informal. Quite sparkling with irresistible warmth. Long, labyrinthine sentences aren't allowed to dominate and rule her compelling narrative non-fiction. To ease such monotony, sprinkles of fine spices of short, choppy sentences are tucked in appropriate places. The choice and precise syntax of the serial community entrepreneur deliver on point. It makes Purpose a gripping, compelling masterpiece that's certainly going to be around for a long time.

What's more? You're bound to fall in love with the series of sub-topics and sub-themes all through the book.

The reader and the purpose seeker is soon introduced to the hero analogy which is relatable. And we all love our heroes, don't we? Then comes the pleasant twist. Gina appeals to the heroes in us all. And in quick succession she spins another twist: the hero becomes the host! Coming on straight out of oblivion to the center stage. Occupies the pedestal position as the host, the pivot.

And the host's purpose again undergoes metamorphosis! From small to big. And in the spinning wheel of digital technology, the big purpose begins to attract like purposes in dark and distant corners of the world, creating a community and giving members voice and sense of belonging. The hero-host with the big purpose is the catalyst; and the impact made is simply cataclysmic in a positive sense.

I recommend Gina Bianchini's Purpose, not only to those seeking their purposes in life but also to those who might have found their purposes and are doing pretty well executing them.

Their chance of finding diamond pearls in this not-so-attractive book might be nil. But they definitely won't miss the roughcast.
