[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
"Snatched Up to Heaven" by Jemima Paul and Aravind Paul is a remarkable exploration of divine communication through the innocent voices of children. The authors delve into the intriguing idea that God sometimes chooses children as messengers, utilizing their relative innocence to convey profound messages. In this case, the messengers are Priyanka and Deepika, the daughters of the authors, who share a remarkable dream that takes them to the realms of heaven and hell.
What sets this book apart is the extraordinary detail provided by Priyanka and Deepika, despite their tender ages of 4 and 2, respectively. They offer a colorful explanation of the details of both heaven and hell, including their perspective on the view of Earth from heaven as a ball colored blue and green, along with vivid descriptions of their purple and pink wings, colorful dresses, tiaras, lush plants, and friendly animals.
The book takes an unexpected turn when Priyanka and Deepika share their experiences of hell during their journey with Jesus. Their descriptions of different punishments for various sins provide a thought-provoking glimpse into this often-feared realm.
The authors also included Bible verses related to the dreams shared by their children. The way the authors explain their children's dreams using these Bible verses makes it easier for readers to understand the message the authors are trying to convey. Additionally, at the end of the book, the author provides links to YouTube videos where Priyanka and Deepika talk about their dreams.
What I liked most about this book is the dedication of the parents to carefully listening to their children's dreams and sharing what they believe will be valuable to others. It's a testament to the authors' love and faith.
While "Snatched Up to Heaven" is undeniably a spiritual book with a Christian focus, it's important to recognize that readers may have different beliefs. The book is exceptionally well-edited and strongly reflects Christian religious views. While it may not align completely with my personal beliefs, I appreciate the diversity of perspectives and faith. Therefore, I would rate this book 4 out of 5.
In conclusion, this is a thought-provoking and spiritually enriching book. It presents a fascinating exploration of divine communication through the innocent eyes of children. I recommend it to those interested in matters of faith and spirituality.
