I was excited to read this book from the short description that was written about The Prism Effect. After reading the book I realized that it was far better than what I had imagined it would be. A truly captivating story of Jet and his journey to find the secrets of ephebus mortom. The way that the book is written just gives the reader bits and pieces of the whole picture till at last it's revealed just to find new secrets held within. Makes it so hard to put down the book, I just want to figure out the whole story and how everything is connected. In fact, I cannot wait to pick up the second book and start it. I enjoyed how it seems that the writing was really thought out so that everything can align with each other once revealed. As well as the friendships that Jet creates with the others with ephebus mortom. The amount of things that they learned from each other was amazing. And even the fact that they all joined together to help each other despite the fact they hardly knew a thing about each other. They wanted to make a better place for people just like them to live in, after all, they knew the effects it has on someone's peace of mind that comes with having ephebus mortom. The editing of this book was thorough and I could not find a single typo. I can honestly say that I enjoyed reading every bit of the book and can not say that I could possibly make it any better than it already is. It is a perfect mix of sci-fi and mystery and I would recommend this book to those who enjoy said genres. I am sure anyone who enjoys a little bit of a mystery and a little bit of sci-fi will find themselves enjoying this book as much as I did.
