[Following is a volunteer review of "Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer.]
Niching Up is a book about the advantages, disadvantages and many other aspects of a niche, explained by the author Chris Dreyer from his own experience.
The book starts with an introduction which explains how Dreyer realised the benefits of niching and what were the changes he observed before and after niching up.
I appreciate the fact that Dreyer shows positive as well as negative sides of the niche and does not try to manipulate readers into thinking that niching is best.
Dreyer clearly states in his book that he is not claiming that a niche is best for everyone or everyone should have a niche in order to gain success, he is just sharing the knowledge he gained about the niche from his own experiences.
Dreyer provides us with awareness of the opportunities we can get through a niche and how to gain expertise in it. Dreyer also draws our attention towards the market and how niche affects a small market or the competition in the market.
The book in total has eight chapters, each explaining in detail every aspect of niching, for example-cons, awareness, expertise, pricing and many more.
In the end, Dreyer uses his own business as a case study to better explain how he niched up and discovered all these facts and points about the niche.
“Niching Up” is a well-researched novel which explains each and every point very clearly with well-researched facts and relatable real-life examples which made me understand every point practically. Dreyer provides knowledge about a niche with practical advice and guidance to its readers. He explained such complex points, facts, and concepts so clearly with well-structured examples.
In conclusion, Niching Up by Chris Dreyer is a well written and highly informative book which provides great insights about niching up. I also appreciate the editing of this book as I could not find any errors which gave me a smooth reading experience and, because I could not find any dull moments or mistakes in this book, I would rate it 5 out of 5.
I would recommend this book to anyone who is interested in digital marketing or owns a small business or wants to learn about a niche.
