Reconfigurement: Reconfiguring Your Life at Any Stage and Planning Ahead by E. Alan Fleischauer is a self-help book that focuses on planning ahead for retirement and covers all the important aspects needed to plan for retirement.

Reconfigurement financial planning is about reconfiguring your life at any stage and planning ahead. The book is divided into chapters, each explaining the steps necessary for reconfiguring a person's financial planning. The topics covered in the book include income, career assessment, insurance, and investments, among others.

The author's writing is conversational and easy to understand. He explained the financial terms that the readers might not be familiar with in a simplified way. He has included research points that strengthened the information he provided. As financial information is hard to grasp the author's attention, the inclusion of jokes made it better. Alan has more than two decades of experience as a financial advisor, and the desire to use this knowledge to help others create a solid financial plan for the future is commendable.

I particularly liked the career assessment chapter. The author explained that many people are not satisfied with their jobs and included various career evaluation tests to help them find jobs that might suit an individual and keep them satisfied. I tried the tests mentioned by Alan, and the assessment result was accurate and showed me potential careers that would be the best fit for me depending on my choices.

While the book's content is valuable, it could have been enhanced with the inclusion of chapter titles, offering readers a preview of the covered topics. The book primarily caters to an American audience, yet financial planning principles are universally applicable. The majority of the book's topics offer valuable insights that are helpful for everyone. The book is well edited, and I did not find any errors in it. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

In conclusion, Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a must-read book for everyone interested in financial planning and people considering a plan for retirement, as this will help them start planning ahead.
