When I was little, my mom used to tell me stories about unicorns and how magical they were. On weekends, we would buy drawing materials and, as a family, make drawings of these creatures. Those were my fondest memories of childhood, and I wished, each day, that I could encounter a unicorn physically. Like me, many have dreamed of unicorns as heartwarming creatures. Unicorns Know Magic by Charles Adkins gives believable life to these mythical beings. Four unicorns named Georgia, Abby, Bitsy, and Chase moved in next door to two siblings, a boy and a girl. Each unicorn has special talents, like rollerskating like a pro, juggling many balls with ease at the same time, etc. The unicorns were also friendly.

The colourful and energetic illustrations are one of the standout features of this children's book. Each page contains a vibrant, full-page scene depicting unicorns engaged in various household tasks and activities. The unicorns' positive behaviours and attitudes are also an impactful part of the story, as they model kindness, helpfulness, and other prosocial values. Their noble character traits allow the magical creatures to serve as uplifting role models that kids can look up to.

I was especially amused by the scenes showing unicorns painting walls and washing dishes, which provide a humorous twist on these ordinary chores. The book is wholly age-appropriate, focusing on themes like friendship, imagination, and helping others. Overall, both the lively illustrations and rhyming story make this a delightful book for preschool and early elementary-aged children.

I am glad to rate Unicorns Know Magic 5 out of 5 stars because there was nothing I disliked about it. It was also exceptionally well-edited. This book has both clear structure and morally uplifting themes and, thus, will provide a rewarding reading experience for children who read it. The book entertains while simultaneously fostering reading comprehension and character development in an age-appropriate manner. These qualities make it an excellent choice for parents, caregivers, and educators seeking engaging stories for young learners.

The inclusion of lessons on kindness and how to treat others is a valuable aspect of the book. It's important for children to learn these principles early on, and using unicorns as examples can make it more engaging.

The art style being described as easy is a positive aspect since it allows children to connect with the illustrations and encourages them to explore their own artistic abilities.
