Review of Involuntary Reroute
[Following is a volunteer review of "Involuntary Reroute" by Robert Laney.]
Nothing excites me more than seeing a young person successful in business. Robbie ventured into business at the age of 19 without money. His mother was experienced in that field and became supportive of him. They started a travel agency company where they gave airline tickets at a discounted price. They gave it a 75 percent discount. Regular travelers ran for this because they were able to travel comfortably at a discounted price. However, most of them came in with a mindset to only benefit themselves and not to invest. After a short while, Robbie was the president of the company, holding 80 percent of the shares.
The name of the business was TESS and was later changed to GATE, as it was a global and entrepreneurial investment. In the course of looking for the agency license, he meets Harry, who heads a similar agency on sale. Harry's manager scrutinized his airline ticket costs and felt that they were undercharging. Robbie faced various turmoils in his aim to navigate through the entrepreneurship world, but life brought other opportunities. Get yourself a copy to understand how he worked.
I like the fact that Robbie was so genuine in the story. He is willing to share all the challenges he went through and how he navigated through them. This made me positive about business, even as a young person. The way he could also balance schoolwork and business is amusing. Many young people fear business, especially while still studying. This is an eye-opener. I love his fighting spirit. He had a dream of becoming a global entrepreneur and worked to revive his business every time it was disadvantaged. The supportive nature of his mother is one to be emulated. She was willing to drive her son into business and even defended him before monsters like the auditor. She had experience in the field and used it to the benefit of her son.
There is nothing to dislike in the book. The book is short and easy to follow. The author's plot keeps the reader active till the end. I rate this book, Involuntary Reroute by Robert Laney, 5 out of 5 stars. The flawless editing it has and the positives above make me give it a perfect rating. It is a book worth everyone's time.
I recommend this book to young people who want to venture into business. Each one should understand that business is not a walkover, but it's up to the owner to find ways to operate it. I also recommend it to established entrepreneurs who are facing a few challenges in business. This book can offer ideas on how to solve some issues and make your business more global.
