[Following is a volunteer review of "Karmic Selling" by Stan Gwizdak.]
Consumers nowadays no longer find the typical "sales guy" appealing. In order to be successful in the industry, entrepreneur Stan Gwizdak offers a different approach to selling that guarantees positive results. Karmic Selling is a self-help book that teaches the principle of helping and earning the consumer's trust. It stems from the Hindu and Buddhist concept of karma—that good intentions are rewarded by good consequences. Using the lessons he learned from his personal life and experiences with traditional corporate culture, Gwizdak developed an excellent mindset useful in achieving entrepreneurial success.
The book strikes a balance between a personal narrative and a self-help guide. Starting from his childhood stories to life-altering experiences, the author shows how he came to develop the karma mindset and integrate it into his business. I appreciate the idea that, in order for karmic selling to work, pure motivation is needed—that genuine will to help alleviate other people's lives. He claims that at the core of this karma mindset is having a clean heart. Once you approach business with the will to help others, no matter what it takes, success is guaranteed to come to you. The author writes in a clear, concise, and engaging tone. I had no problem understanding certain concepts and learning from the stories shared in this book. There are case studies, reflection exercises, and reference pages as well, which only prove how comprehensive this guide is.
I don't have any negative comments to say. The editing is exceptional, as there aren't any errors in the text. I think the book effectively communicates what it intends to communicate, and I'm excited to recommend this book to all aspiring entrepreneurs trying to look for some fresh perspective on sales. This informative, well-written, and well-researched nonfiction guide deserves a solid 5 out of 5 star rating.
