Review of Winning the War on Cancer

[Following is a volunteer review of "Winning the War on Cancer" by Sylvie Beljanski.]
This book, Winning the War on Cancer, is a creative piece that revolves around the author, Sylvie Beljanski, her father, and all the scientists and doctors who put in effort to see that the Beljanski extracts get the recognition they deserve. Sylvie's father discovered a plant-based extract that is able to control the spread of cancer, AIDS, and so many others. However, he is vehemently opposed by the French government and some big companies. This book details the journey and how a lot of people were helped by these extracts.
One notable positive aspect for me is that, despite being a science-related book, Sylvie employed the story-telling technique. From the way she writes, it's very easy to recognize her passion. Another aspect that stood out for me was the simplicity of the terms used. It is written in such a way that even people who have basic knowledge of the sciences can understand it. This is a book about courage, heroism, and, to me, survival. The resilience I saw in Sylvie taught me that the world may not always accept what is right. Therefore, you are to run with what you know is right and true, regardless of what the world thinks.
Although very educational, at some point, the explanations of medical words became very tiring. The many references also affected my enjoyment a bit. I think this is my least favorite aspect of this book.
For my rating, having considered the almost perfect editing of the book and the positives, I would give it a five out of five. I like how the author went straight to the point, and her delivery is flawless.
I read this book because I am passionate about cancer treatment, and anyone who would love to read the Beljanski extracts should pick up this book. I recommend this book to people interested in medical books
