We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies is a fictional book by Matthew Tysz. In the opening parts of this book, Galen Bray is seen escaping from the land of princes, a set of islands ravaged by war induced by a paranoid emperor. He gets on a ship bound for Voulhire on invitation from his dying uncle to take over his forge at Magnum Caelum. In another part of the opening, a powerful mage, Meldorath, is sent to the town of Hillport to bring Lord Orlin to justice, as he had been accused of abusing children. Meldorath is then made Lord of Hillport.

Three months later, Meldorath himself is arrested after being made Lord of Hillport for his crimes of performing deadly tests on humans. After this arrest, news of his death circulated. Meanwhile, Galen Bray arrives in Voulhire and settles into his newfound inheritance. With the aid of Rowan, his uncle's executor, he begins to grasp the activities involved in running the forge, but aside from that, new adventures await Galen in this strange land. What are they, and how do they unfold? Also, is Meldorath truly dead, and how do all these plots intertwine? Read on to discover more.

I must say that I totally enjoyed reading this book. The author began with a map, which drew me in and built my anticipation. Then the plot itself was so engrossing; it had this converging nature as the author delved into different perspectives, which later converged as the story progressed. The character development was also built up nicely; no character was rushed, and there was also no unnecessary influx. In some cases, the story was told from the third-person perspective, but when the spotlight was on Galen, it appeared from the first-person perspective.

I had no dislikes for the book, as I believe everything was written out nicely. The plot, characters, map, and flow were all aligned accurately. While reading this wonderful book, I spotted no grammatical errors, which leads me to believe that this book was exceptionally well edited. I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. It was a wonderful read, which I recommend to audiences interested in science fiction, epics, adventure, and mystery books.

This sounds like a wonderful sci-fi fiction with wonderful characters like Galen and Meldorath in it. I like the touch of magic in it too.

This book was beautiful and had an engaging plot however, I was kind of bored by the uncontrolled number of character appearing almost everywhere. Your review was beautiful and captured all necessary details about this book. Great review.

I’m intrigued by the changes in climate, including the different weird creatures. When it comes to creating vivid imagery, I give it up for this book. Nice one.
