Tables turn for a newlywed couple when their honeymoon gets interrupted, and they find themselves mixed up in a national conflict. Get E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer to read more on this unravelling plot.

This novel, containing 16 chapters, captures readers by giving a thrilling teaser in the preface. The story was set in the United States. A fresh couple, Kelly and Tom, are in Honduras to spend their honeymoon. There was also a disguised CIA agent in Honduras who was currently on a mission as a spy. Kelly unknowingly stumbles upon a store used by the Koreans as the base for a covert mission. The mission was in a bid to overthrow the US. Being in close relationships with higher-ups and having experience with national defence, Kelly and Tom, with some internal and external associates, collaborate to protect their country from national threats.

The book was adventurous and informative simultaneously. The addition of maps of the story setting made it more realistic and factual. The knowledge and application of military terminologies piqued my interest as a crime and action fan. Very few images were used in the novel, although this was not an issue. There were different characters portrayed in the book that are worth emulating.

I was able to grasp a thing or two from the book. It educated readers on the concept of an electromagnetic pulse and the possible dangers of a solar flare. Attributes like cooperation and transparency were eminent among the characters, especially when they formed an alliance called Team USA. In terms of national security, the book shows some fictional but real controversies that exist among different countries, resulting from one nation being too greedy and wanting to overrule another through a battle of ammunition. I found nothing discomforting about the book. There were mild profanities that barely interfered with the reading process. I couldn't detect any errors, owing to the book's exceptional editing. I would, therefore, rate it 5 out of 5 stars.

The book is recommended to lovers of crime and action themes, although young readers might find it difficult to understand some concepts. Overall, the author did well in this piece.

Indeed things changed immediately after Kelly got herself and her husband entangled in some national drama. It's better for lovers of action drama. This is a well-written review.

Great job on writing this well structured review about this book. Patriotism is underrated for what the couple did in this book in service to their country. It is very well commendable and admirable.
