[Following is a volunteer review of "Looking Inwards" by Sameer Pendse.]
To traverse into alternate existence is tempting beyond reasoning.
To be free of pain, suffering, desire, angst, and some moments of bliss;
To experience an eternal satisfaction and contentment beyond imagination.
But he reiterates—anything forced, anything you are not born into,
Is not a destination of any lasting sort.
What exactly is poetry?
Poetry, like our own being, is a kind of self-expression. It is the art of condensing emotion, experience, and thought into concise, powerful language. It's a blank canvas on which words can paint sentiments and perceptions, capturing the essence of life's complexities.
The book "Looking Inwards: A Journey into Turiya" is a poetic journey through the author's spiritual and intellectual progress over the course of two decades. It crosses religious bounds, delivering insights for seekers on their conscious journeys as it is presented as a traversal through emotional, intellectual, and supramental states (Turiya). The author uses poetry to express some of life's most important themes, such as love for your partner, love for your children, the treatment of women in society, pollution, discrimination, the afterlife, enlightenment, and others.
Through genuine, heartfelt poetry, "Looking Inwards" brilliantly captures the author's spiritual trip. Each work flows well, expressing significant feelings and changing ideas. The book's genuineness stems from its candid depiction of real-life spiritual encounters, which resonate with readers on their own inner journeys. The author's intention to inspire people, regardless of faith, to study consciousness lends dimension to this fascinating compilation.
This book stands out for its excellent editing, which is free of flaws. It's a polished, well-crafted piece with no obvious defects.
I wholeheartedly rate "Looking Inwards: A Journey into Turiya" a perfect 5 out of 5 stars. It is a must-read for anybody interested in spirituality and consciousness because of its genuine poetry, smooth flow, and profound depth. The book is an uplifting testimonial to inner progress, encouraging readers on their individual paths.
