Review for Solaris Seethes (Book One of the Solaris Series)

I received Solaris Seethes (Book One of the Solaris Series), by: Janet McNulty through onlinebookclub.com for a honest review. I received the book in Kindle format.

Solaris Seethes is a science fiction and fantasy type of book. The title of the book comes from the ship who is called Solaris. I gave this book a 3 out of 4 stars. I found that there were no errors in the grammar in the book. I enjoyed the outline of the book. The book takes place in a future type planet which goes through loss of people and is destroyed. The main character, Rynah has been chosen to find six crystals, which at first she thought was a children's story, but it is a prophecy. Solaris was created by Rynah's grandfather, Marlow.

The four other characters were brought to Rynah from Earth. So there is a time travel feel to it. These other characters are also there to help her with the quest that she has to go through. Rynah ended up with this quest from her grandfather, who believed in the prophesy. He is also the one who discovered the prophesy. Rynah has to fight for her life several times. I found myself really identifying with Rynah. I found her to be a strong, but stubborn character. I really enjoyed Solaris, who is the ship who can communicate with humans. In fact, I enjoyed all of the characters in the book. I really couldn't find a bad character. All the characters were well developed. Each character came from a different background. The four characters that help Rynah, have different backgrounds and come from different parts of time, and they also have skills in fighting and the way they think.

The reason I gave this book a 3 out of 4 stars is because I really enjoyed this book. I also loved and enjoyed the names of the characters. For one thing, that there were common and made up names in the book. This is another book that got me really interested in science fiction and fantasy. I really don't read a lot of these types of books. I will most likely recommend this book to my friends and family. The only thing I didn't enjoy about the book is that it ended with a cliffhanger. I am guessing that it will resume in the second book. I hope to continue the series and I would love to read more books by this author.
