The main character and her mother embark on an awesome trip to Italy for her best friends wedding. They hit a few snags on the way and exchange some quirky banter between each other. While there for the wedding one of the snags leads the main character to one of the the toughest choices she will ever have to make. This book was very slow in the beginning and then moved very fast towards the end. I feel as though some unnecessary things were described in full detail while important things lacked it.

The romance in the book was kind of far fetched and the main character gave me a little bit of relationship whiplash. It was like one minute nothing was happening at all and the next thing you know all these super important steps are happening out of no where. There were also quite a few things that were brought up that I figured would be important later, but were never brought up again.

When I first started reading it I wasn't sure that I would be able to finish it because I was so uninterested, there just wasn't that hook that a lot of good books have. About half way through the book it started to get a little more interesting but it still wasn't something that I just couldn't put down. Also the emotional connection with the characters that is often felt just wasn't there.

One thing I did love about this book is that it shows that not all women want to sit at home and not provide financially. Even though she was unsure of career choice, and her significant other offered to pay for everything, she knew she needed to do something. Also, the love for the animal that was brought up briefly was admirable, but I felt as if that could have been part of the story more.

Overall, it was a pretty delightful book, but not one I'd recommend if you're in for a soul crushing romance. I feel like it had all the right intentions but fell short a little bit. At the end of the book I did not regret reading it, but it is definitely not something that I would read again.

I rate this book 2 out of 4 stars. It's just not the type of book that I personally care for. If someone is looking for a lighthearted, feel good romance this would be the book for them.
