[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
I called it Newcomers Under the Stars
implies that surviving does not come with a plate of gold. The book was fantastic; it opened my eyes and showed me that every character has a distinct manner of acting. It also demonstrated the need of having gratitude, particularly for assistance that is provided.
It demonstrates the significance of perseverance and hard effort by illustrating what it means to fight for and hold onto what has been entrusted to you.
Given that, in these days of conventional wealth, the people of Voulhire are battling for a sense of national identity. Magic, science, and faith all promise a utopian society, each in its own envious ways. Every character exhibits remarkable action.
But there's always a continuous melancholy in the kingdom of Voulhire, a little continent lost in resentment and home to powerful people with hidden agendas.
I also appreciate that this is an immigrant who has come to these uncertain times from a country that has seen conflict.
It is an inspiring narrative about appreciation and fighting with passion because the main character is prepared to repay the opportunity his new home has given him.
Overall, the book is enjoyable to read because it broadens one's perspective on survival principles.
It depicts life in a way that is unimaginable.
The main drawback is that rather than being a sci-fi novel, it's more of an action thriller substitute.
