Yesterday, a novel of incarnation, by Samyann. Read as an e-book (mobi format)

Categories: Fiction, Romance

It´s a book about two people kept apart by fear, pain and loss, but meant to be together through time and how they find out about their strength and their connections.

Amanda Parker is a very beautiful girl with stunning blue eyes who saves the handsome Officer Mark Callahan from a train accident in Chicago. During the aftershock, they were sheltered in an antiques shop where a beautiful eighteenth century standing clock´s chimes find their way into Amanda´s subconscious. Unable to stop thinking about it, she buys the clock afterwards, meanwhile Mark is unable to shake off the feeling that he has known her before so he invites her out. He discovers that Amanda is really heartbroken due to a series of emotional hard blows and because of it she thinks she is doomed to be alone and tries to send him away, but he can´t let go and he´s determined to show her that a tragic past doesn´t mean a tragic future.

In his quest he suggests to take on Past Life Therapy to sort out the connections between him, Amanda and the hypnotizing clock, and that takes them to travel to the times of the Civil War and the Great Chicago Fire.

What connects them? What has marked them in the past and what will mark their future? Will they be brave enough to confront those truths that will unravel?

It´s a lovely story told in a very interesting plot, that makes you wonder if there are pieces of our life puzzle that comes from a previous life, how could they affect us and how may we move on to happiness. If you believe that love can connect us through time, this is a great book for you, and if you don’t it´s a great story that will keep you hanging from the first pages.

I enjoyed it enormously, and I think you will too. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. the rating is because I think this edition of the book needs to be polished because the front cover is embed every few pages and it´s annoying, but the story is well built and threaded, and the evolution of the characters is unique for each one of them and you can sympathize with them: there are moments when you´ll feel it´s full of hope, and others when you would love to smack someone, others that will touch your heart... It´s simply beautiful.
