I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars, considering the fact I was so eager to finish it in one sitting (yes, that's how good it was). Though I would've jumped straight to 4 stars if the suspense was more razor-sharp than it was, especially with such a deliciously dark feel given to the atmosphere the author magnificently bestowed upon the book.

The story revolves around the relationship between Haatim, a young theology graduate whose life descended into utter chaos due to an unpleasant family tragedy before encountering this new world of demons and supernatural occurings he never knew he belonged to, and Abigail, who is now dedicating her life to protecting him and hunting demons that are threatening both their lives.

It was incredibly intriguing how the author succeeded to draw the reader into this daunting world of suspense and horror starting from the very beginning.
As I continued leafing later on through the pages and began to be acquainted with both protagonists Haatim and Abigail, I couldn't bring myself but go, 'please, make this into a movie!'

In Raven's Peek, Cole created these spectacularly developed and flawed characters that you can't help but fall in love with and root for; though I see that Haatim's characteristics are likeable, successfully influencing and wildly inspiring, considering the manners with which he chooses to forge his path through the hardships this terrifying life of demons and possessions throw at his helpless endeavors. Therefore I really enjoyed discovering how he grows and changes all throughout his adventures. Abigail, too, is an extraodinary character to be acquainted with. She's strong, fierce and flawed. What's not to like? And she sounds even more captivating when the author offers us a peek into her powerful backstory. That's what I appreciated the most. Although I would've been more grateful if I could've seen more of her in the book, given how considerably relatable I found her to be. And the mystery isn't strikingly unsettling, which is what I didn't so much like about the writing, although it was appealing and engaging.

This was my very first Lincoln Cole read and as of now I feel completely safe diving into anything written by such a genius author. I'm certain that fans of writers such as Allan Poe, and readers that are enjoy adventures of the supernatural and the paranormal world, would instantly fall in love with Cole's work.
