Benjamin Poe was imprisoned because he was found with a matching revolver at hand, which is obvious evidence that he killed his son, Gabriel. Though he had no means to prove it, he claimed to be innocent. The truth remains clouded until he is visited by his counselor in private, and the case shows that it has a dark part, which a third party would not want to believe. Precisely, Poe has engaged in a quarrel with a demon who requested Gabriel's soul, and in his gesture to shoot the demon, the supernatural took over, and he found out that he had just shot his son six times. The demon in question is called Crighton, who has been sent by Lucifer to the earth to collect the souls of people doing wickedness to be cast into hellfire. One of his targets was Gabriel, which landed Benjamin Poe in devastating trouble. Crighton would continue his assignment, targeting more souls to be collected, some of which he would lose, and land him into receiving whips from Lucifer.

"Soul Seeker" by Kaylin McFarren is a science fiction story told from the perspective of spirituality, featuring dark-world personalities such as Lucifer, demons, and evil-doing angels.

In my exploration of this book, the first facet that captivated my attention revolved around the intricacies of its plot. The author's imaginative prowess manifests in the artful incorporation of moral anecdotes within the kingdom of darkness, creating a narrative that provocatively challenges the traditional realm of goodness embodied by God's kingdom. This distinctive approach transcends the realm of mere humor, offering an enthralling experience that sets it apart from any other dark fantasy I've delved into. The pleasure derived from the book extends seamlessly across its entirety, encompassing not only the engaging writing style but also the deliberate and thoughtful choices made in crafting the characters. The author's ability to interweave creativity, morality, and entertainment elevates the overall reading experience, making it a literary journey that resonates deeply. I quickly felt lots of emotions for Benjamin Poe's condition, but his ending made me laugh at him for his unchecked temper against the soul-catching demon.

I don't have anything to dislike in the book, as it gives me the utmost entertainment. It has been professionally edited, and I only found a few errors in its editing. All these considered, the book earns a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy stories, dark-world stories, and fantasy with a realistic plot.
