[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
From the beginning of this book, the writing drew me in. The author made me feel like I was a part of the story with his vivid descriptions. I plan to read this book again in the future and share it with my friends and family as well. This was my first time reading anything from Matthew Tysz, and I'm glad I had the opportunity. The story was entertaining and held my attention throughout. I can't wait to read the rest of this series and more from Matthew. I'm semi new to fantasy reading, and glad that I chose We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies to start. Galen's character was interesting. It's usually pretty rare for me to connect with one character in a story and have that character hold my attention throughout. But Galen's character did. One of my favorite things about the author is that in addition to a glossary of terms and concepts at the end of the story, he also includes a link to his website with a detailed history of the kingdom of Voulhire. This makes the story easier to lose myself in.
