Review of Niching Up

[Following is a volunteer review of "Niching Up" by Chris Dreyer.]
Niching Up
Niching Up is informative for entrepreneurs searching for the right fit in the business world. The author does an excellent job of providing a guidebook for doing so. Dreyer objectively gives many scenarios, pros, and cons for the process he names, niching up. He supports specific directions with reasons, from the beginning to the stage of being an experienced, discerning, entrepreneur. While doing all of this, the author frequently refers to his personal experience.
The book is encouraging without being persuasive. Dreyer teaches how to become aware of yourself and various or specific industries. Readers learn early how to determine if niching is even for them. If so, the author describes the process of awareness, research, finding the specific niche, and relating to clients and other business people.
The author also emphasizes maintaining credibility throughout the entire process. This suggestion helps entrepreneurs remain in business and minimize losing wanted business. Preserving the reputation is a
recurring topic throughout the book. Dreyer instructs spending large amounts of time in one specialty after determining it.
I like how the author explains what to expect. He lists the cons first, but I prefer that he mix the pros and cons more. However, some cons could be pros. Including both pros and cons makes the author more trustworthy.
He uses teaching skills to help readers retain his information. Dreyer repeats concepts throughout the textbook and the conclusion, which is a terrific summary. He also uses a variety of examples so readers of different backgrounds can relate to the ideas.
The lessons are so profound, especially with the author's personal experience, that I believe less profanity is necessary. Yes, it catches attention to emphasize points, but the lessons are substantial independently. They speak for themselves.
I highly recommend Niching Up, giving it five stars. The clear, specific lessons, with testimonials, provide a prospective entrepreneur with a clear picture of a successful future, in my opinion.
