I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I didn’t give it a 4 as I think the writer could have made the parts that had action scenes in them more detailed in order to grab my attention more. I didn’t rate it a 2 as I enjoyed the booked and I would recommend it to other readers.

The book seemed to be edited professionally, as I did not find spelling or grammatical errors. The author’s use of language was good, without using too many words in a foreign language, which some authors do to try add a foreign flavor, but it can make it difficult to understand or follow the story if this is done too much.
The introduction was a bit long and detailed, but once you get past that the story picks up and you start to be drawn into the story that is developing. The writer had good character development and gave enough background on the characters in order to make them feel real to me.

I found the story line to be unusual and I think the author took a risk in not writing about the usual places and the all American theme, but rather cast the story in a mostly unknown country with unknown scenes and with a different spin on the nuclear arms issue. This risk did pay off as it was quite refreshing to be exposed to this different setting.

The story line is about a deep under cover Mossad agent, work within the Iranian ministry as a trusted adviser. He has access to their nuclear facilities and all the info on their progress in making nuclear bombs. The heroine in the book is a Harvard student, of Jewish ancestry, who is going to Dubai to meet her Saudi boyfriend’s parents. Her father, a brilliant nuclear physicist, is against her traveling to this country and is certain she will not be accepted by his family. When they are kidnapped for ransom, the heroine is forced to rely on the deep cover agent to help get her out of Iran before the government can get their hands on her, in order to blackmail her father into helping with their nuclear program. It becomes a race of who can get to them first, those who want to save them and those who want to use them to further their own interests and agendas.

The book makes a person take a look at things in the Middle East with a different perspective and also emphasizes that there are always other issues at play that we are not always aware of. It is not something that authors of this genre often get right, as most are more focused on the romance part of the book and not on developing other sides of the story. This book is similar to books written by A.J Adams, who has a similar writing style, with action packed romantic suspense.
