Who Told You Were Naked? written by Reverend William Combs who is a retired presbyterian minister, is a non fiction book not only about garden of eden but it also includes narration, reenactment of biblical phrases and passages from old testament to new testament that will give us knowledge about sin, salvation and faith, how sin and death entered the world. It will help us rediscover the glorious light and life available for us who believes like how Reverend Comb did.
The book started on how Pastor Combs first encounter with light, how it was associated with the period of darkness during Hebrew days followed by the period of light. He wrote reenactment of some bible verses for detailed visualization of what happened that time while giving his personal testimony to connect each verses from old testament to new testament.
The whole book is a new experience for me. I thought it will be boring to read but as i go on from chapter to chapter I didn't realize that I actually finish the book. The special thing about this book is it makes you realize things that you've done, asking yourself if your faith is enough or am i really good enough for him. I have a lot of favorite verses that is mentioned in the book but there is a particular verse that I actually love " If you had faith like a grain of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, be uprooted and planted in sea and it would obey you" ( Luke 17:5-7). This verse reminds me that nothing is impossible with God no matter who you are or what you are or how hard life is as long as you believe in him you can move even the mountains. Since everybody has their own battles it is really good to read something just like this to keep reminding us to keep going. Sins, salvation, fear, doubt and a lot more are mentioned in the book that will help us understand our Lord God Jesus and his teachings that we can use in our daily life.
I highly recommend this book for biblical studies, the summarize questions at the end of each chapter will be a big help to open a good discussion, also for those people who are in need of guidance and seeking peace this book is a must. The context of this book will help ease our troubled minds to think more clearly.
I will rate this book 4 out of 4 stars for a work well done. Also for spreading words of God. It is truly a great honor to review such book.
