This book was absolutely stunning. A beautiful thriller that gave me chills, a mystery that kept me on my toes, a crime with outrageous outcomes, and a horror that was bloody. I applaud the author on his creativity and organized detail crafted in every sentence. The words came to life making a vivid image.
Raven's Peak, book one of the World on Fire series, starts off with The Reverend being taken out of prison to fight a nasty demon, who possessed his adopted daughter Abigail. After freeing her from the entity's clutches, he and the demon are in hell. Abigail is now on the mission to find out what happened to her father and how to bring him back, if it is possible. Tagging along is a college student, Haatim, with a unusal tie to her. Dealing with emotional pain and family secrets, he fights more than just stress. Why was The Reverend in prison, why is Abigail his adopted daughter, and what is the tie between her and Haatim?
I rate this incredible book 4 out of 4. I love the mysteries within the mysteries. Every revealing creates something new and exciting, the blood and gore was exciting, criminals were more than what others expected, and thrills in every chapter. Honestly what more could you ask for in a C/T/H/M?
Beautifully written. I adore this masterpiece. What I did not like is that the book ended
, but the story continues on in the series 
. It was one of the best books I have ever picked up and I have read amazing stories. I do give caution to those sensitive to horrific scenes (even within your imagination). Not for the faint of heart, but great for those with a love for horror.
I cannot wait to dig into the rest of the series and dig up the secrets within the mysteries. With the past people hide, its hard to sit quietly and not find out why and how things came to be with World on Fire Book One: Raven's Peak. Once more I congratulate Lincoln Cole for this incredible book and his lively imagination.
