This book had me captivated from start to finish. I enjoyed all the different plot twists and turns that it took. Just when you think you have it all figured out there is another plot twist that throws you for a loop. One of the very first things that I took note of in this book and it was true throughout the entire thing is that the author uses sophisticated words. Or maybe they're just words that I don't usually hear on a daily basis. For this reason, I am glad that I was reading it on my Kindle Scribe. My Kindle Scribe has a feature that it will give you definitions to words that are more often looked up. This was very helpful as I didn't know what all of them meant. If you do plan to read this book I would make sure that you either have a broad vocabulary or that you have a device nearby that you are able to look up definitions. I am glad that I stumbled across this author and can't wait to read more of his books if they are as good as this one was. Somehow I did miss is that this is the fourth book in a series so now I need to go back and read the first three. I am sure that will help with the back story that I felt like I was missing out on. I am giving this book a 4 out of 5 as I think it is very good but I can't say that it is one of the best books ever. I think very highly of the book but for it to be one of the best books ever it would be a book that I would want to read over and over again and not get tired of reading it. This book isn't that for me but it is definitely one I will recommend to friends and family.
