Haatim grew up in a religious house. His father had been a well respected preacher in their community and Haatim had wanted to follow in his footsteps. It was this that encouraged him to study Theology. It was, until his sister passed away shortly before her 17th birthday, that Haatim was a stern believer in God and the good in the world. How could God allow that she be taken at such an early age? Haatim struggled to work through the emotions of anger, dissapointment and disbelief after her passing, and had decided to move away from his family in attempt to feel free, clear and possibly give up on the idea of their being a God.

Haatim is approached by a stranger in the library and is offered a quick and easy option to acquire some much needed money to survive. He gets himself caught up in a strange business deal and life quickly spins out of control. After a failed attempt on his life and being kidnapped, he decides to take a trip with Abigail, the woman who saved him from it all. Although Abigail seems strange, he realizes that she might be his best bet for survival.

On Haatim an Abigail's journey, they are both faced with the unimaginable. Both seek answers and their faith is tested in many ways. Abigail has to face demons, not only physically, but also emotionally. Haatim is fast learning the truth of his father, who seemed to have a life he didn't know about.

Will Abigail be able to gain the trust and respect of her elders? Will she be able to find the answers to what happened to Arthur? Will Haatim's faith be restored? Will he be able to restore his views on God and the church? Will the faith he had given up on, be the very thing to save them?

Raven's Peak was written by the very talented Lincoln Cole. He is an absolute amazing author. Lincoln Cole has the ability to use his books to open the readers eyes to a world which is so much bigger than we perceive it to be. The authors writing style is absolutely amazing and capture the reader within the first few pages.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It has such an interesting view on the supernatural world out there. For believers and none believers, this book is sure to make you question more than just your faith.
