The Bonding by Imogen Keeper is s Sci-Fi/Romance erotica novel. Tam a tribe warrior stumbles across the one thing he thought he would never see again. A female. In the most inconcievable place, floating inside a pod in the dark endless expanse of space. From the moment he first laid eyes on her he knew his life had forever changed. This small beautiful woman will tip his world upside down forcing him to choose between his heart and his life as he knows it. Nissa isn't just anyone, she is royalty on her planet. When alien invaders threaten her planets future she makes the desperate decision to launch into space in search for help. She not only finds help but a dangerously sexy man from another planet. Forced to Bond, Nissa and Tam find themselves battling not only alien invaders, but their own addiction and love for one another. Nissa finds her heart torn between her loyalty to her planet, her people, and her intense love for Tam.

I'm not completely familiar with the Erotica side of the romance genre. The Bonding has a lot of graphic sexual scenes especially in the first half of the book. It took me a little bit to get used to Imogen's incredibly descriptive sex scenes but she does an amazing job at putting a clear mental picture in your mind as you read. Surprisingly I felt that her lack of a filter when it came to the sexual nature of Nissa and Tam's relationship gave depth to the story and the characters themselves. She gives you the ultimate insiders view to these characters intimate life.

With the story being told from both Nissa and Tam's perspective you get a well rounded view of their relationship, feelings, struggles, and it makes the story come to life. Some of the best parts of this book is seeing a situation from both of their sides. I instantly fell in love with these two characters! Imogen does a great job of making you feel what they feel. You are right there with them feeling the weight of their struggles and choices they are forced to make.

At first I felt the whole story revolved around Tam and Nissa's sexual relationship but as the story moved along the sexual scenes lessened and I became engrossed in the desperate situation the two of them were tangled in. Imogen has a unique writing style and a wild imagination that made this story a fantastic read! An alien erotica story that you can really dive into and relate to their fights and struggles is only because of Imogen's talent as an author.

I give The Bonding by Imogen Keeper 3 out of 4rating. This story is uniquely written with characters that you can fall in love with. For those looking for an alien/erotica romance and even those that want to try something new, this is the book for you. With the sexual nature of the story I highly recommend this for mature readers only. Overall, I found this an exciting book to read that left me wanting to read more!
