It is tough to find a decent book that will educate you on how to enhance yourself as an individual as well as your business. Karmic Selling by Stan Gwizdak is one such book. It tells the author's narrative of leaving a lucrative corporate career to become a salesman who wants to help people rather than just focus on making sales. This book teaches you how to be a good salesman by focusing on the client's problems.

If there is one thing I enjoy, it's the fact that the author used photographs and real-life experience, like Kirby's sweeper salesman story, to make the book not only a narrative that aims to inspire but also words of wisdom based on true experiences, which makes the reader easily connect to and relate to the experience he shares. It also makes the methods explained in this book more true. The author's sales strategy was to build connections with people and not just focus on trying to sell to them.

This book is packed with so many lessons, such as the importance of finding out people's problems instead of just wanting to sell them to them, how to build connections and friendships with people by seeking out what troubles them and trying to see how you could fix it, and the need to be genuine, amongst others. These things I could see do not apply only to selling but also to building friendship, trust, and connection with people.

The karmic part of this book, I believe, talks about doing good to get a positive outcome. The book was well-paced, with simple words that were easy to understand. Though I am not a big fan of non-fiction, I found nothing I disliked about this book, as everything the author talked about was relatable. I found no errors except for some spacing errors, which I believe could be from the format I chose to read. Other than that, the book was well edited, and I therefore rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend it to business owners who wish to grow their business, connect with their clients, and also grow on a personal level.
