The story plays itself off when Layla Rose Wallace, the daughter of one of America’s top physicists, and her boyfriend from Saudi, is kidnapped in Dubai. They are taken to Tehran, and all hell breaks loose. Layla soon realizes that she is the perfect weapon to be used to blackmail her father, in the hope that he will join Iran's forces.

Cyrus Hassani, an assistant to the deputy director of Oghab2, is known in his world as one of the top men protecting Iran’s nuclear development program. He is ordered to get Layla out alive, and, if all else fails, he has to kill her. The fiery redhead and the attractive spy, forced to work together in order to survive.

Their escape from Tehran seems impossible, as all their plans seem doomed, and the enemy is never far behind. Cyrus must survive many attempts on his own life, while trying to deal with the emotions that Layla has woken in his cold heart. The kind of emotions he has tried to ignore through all his years of living as a spy. He soon learns that he has the ability to love, contrary to what he always believed.

Can Cyrus and Layla survive and escape from Tehran? Will they find love between their two hearts? Or will time once again catch up to them quicker than they thought?

There is plenty of action and several poignant issues in Escape. Their escape is gripping and manages to keep the reader glued to the pages. The book captivates and engages the reader. It describes the scenes in so much detail, that the reader is able to join the two worlds hidden in its pages. Belle Ami, the author, does a great job of writing a book that, not only works on the mind, but also the imagination of the reader. It is clear that the author has done a considerable amount of research before writing this book.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. Escape by Belle Ami, is a fast paced action read, combined with romance and heart-stopping moments. It has all the qualities needed to keep the reader interested and entertained. The author is extremely talented, and her devotion and passion for writing is visible on each and every page.

To every reader who wants to escape to a world of action, suspense and romance, I recommend you to read Escape by Belle Ami.
