Review of Original Wisdom
We live in a world where the greatest thing everyone desires is to be at the top of their game, successful in every aspect of their lives, which is fuelled by the society that keeps us competing for everything to the point we get entangled in climbing the ladder of success, but are stature, success, and money all worth it when it comes to true happiness? Original Wisdom is a memoir detailing Donna's real-life experiences on her journey of transformation.
In Original Wisdom by Donna Bond, Donna narrates several real-life stories and experiences from her childhood to adulthood on her journey of transformation. For instance, to show that some beliefs are seeded and deep-rooted in our brains at a young age, she narrates an incident about her school project and how her dad's actions instilled the belief that her actions were being undervalued. In order to get approval and admiration, she had to become a perfectionist, which led her to live a miserable life, following in her dad's and granddad's footsteps until the incident on the plane that brought awareness, making her quit her lucrative co-operate job with a huge pay check. There was also an incident during Donna's second year at USM that became a great steeping stone that made her cancer-free journey a walk in the park.
The aspect I loved was how Donna used Dr. Joe's articulation of science (quantum physics) to explain how mind and matter are completely entangled and how our consciousness (mind) has effects on matter( energy) and how our thoughts act as vibrations that collect information that we emulate as low and high vibration frequencies, and in turn, the vibrations we emulate bring the law of magnetic attraction, and after all the frequencies one broadcasts out will be the same they will be inviting in their lives.
Another aspect I loved were the self-guided exercises that were well illustrated, which gave one a chance to learn from the best and put it into practice.
I encountered no grammatical errors thanks to the great editing job that made my reading flow from the first to the last page. This book is good for successful women who find that something is missing in their lives despite their achievements. I truly loved everything and felt like a part of Donna's journey. I didn't find anything to dislike about the book and awarded it 5 out of 5 stars.
