Review of Not Fishy Enough
Imagine you're at a big party where everyone seems to be having fun and fitting in effortlessly. But you're there, feeling like you're just not like everyone else. You try to join in the conversations and games, but something feels off. You start to wonder if you're just not "fishy" enough for this party. It's like you're a puzzle piece trying to fit into the wrong puzzle. And just when you're about to give up hope, you meet someone who tells you that it's okay to be different. This is, in a nutshell, what the book Not Fishy Enough by Briton Kolber is all about.
This is a story about a crab named Edwin who feels like he doesn't fit in with the fish around him. He tries really hard to be like them, swimming and looking like a fish, but he just can't. Along the way, he meets a wise friend named Campbell, who helps him learn that it's okay to be different. Edwin goes on a journey to accept himself, but faces challenges that make him doubt if he'll ever feel like he belongs. Just when it seems like Edwin is starting to accept himself, a new challenge arises that threatens to shake his newfound confidence to its core. Will he be able to overcome this obstacle and fully embrace who he is, or will he succumb to the pressure to be something he's not?
This book is like having a friendly chat with someone who understands what it's like to feel out of place. It helps you see that it's okay to be different and that you don't have to change yourself to fit in. It's full of stories that show you that you're not alone in your struggles and that there's hope for feeling better about yourself. Plus, it gives you practical tips and advice for dealing with tough emotions like shame and self-criticism. The writing style of the author was amazing and suitable for the main audience of the book. The use of paintings was also awesome. I didn’t notice any errors, which shows that the book was properly edited.
The only challenge was that the book felt a bit slow-paced for readers who prefer more action-packed stories. Aside from that, everything was in shape, which warrants a rating of five out of five stars. If you're looking for a book that's like having a supportive friend by your side, this one's definitely worth a read!
