This non-fiction titled; Who Told You That You Were Naked, by William Comb, is based on the human's fixed roots in sin and what he can do to successfully evade it's inevitable wages. The author cleverly describes a Genesis-like scene of Adam and Eve then periodically introduces a study-like narrative which expands throughout the rest of the manuscript.

He begins by inviting you to a picture of an unblemished communion with God and later dares you to relate with these first two souls who disobeyed Him. And just as sin directed the humans away from their Creator, Comb diverts your attention away from the harmonious Edeniac-like scene to the study of the dynamic constraints of sin. He carefully probes into the lives of patriotic sinners and delivers a constructive discussion with quotes like:
This rival lifestyle is none other than the knowledge of good and evil Paul and the rest of us inherited from Adam. It is a dimension of our intellect and is so innate, so instinctual, so intuitive, so pervasive a way of responding to our everyday circumstances, it is virtually impossible to avoid.
While most of try to do good in life, aware of both good and evil by default, the Lord
created Adam and Eve...without the ability to comprehend this knowledge. The serpent...deceived the first couple into believing they would become more like God by gaining this understanding.
Notably, this book encourages a Holy Spirit-guided elevated metamorphosis instead of depending our own appreciation of this revelation.

My initial reaction to the book was that of disappointment due to the frequent interruptions the story line encountered in facilitating the writer's defining narrative. However, I soon discovered that it was undoubtedly necessary in order to gain a deeper understanding of the poison and antidote mirrored into man's fallen image - sin being the poison and salvation the latter.

Comb took on two risky tasks here. Firstly, by exploiting sin exactly for what it is and, secondly, proclaiming Jesus Christ as the one and only Redeemer between us and God. He was, nevertheless, able to substantiate these biblical truths and to also bravely refer to straightforward personal testimonies of breathtaking spiritual intervention which would leave anyone envious.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars for it's fresh approach on an ancient controversial subject that will alter your perception of unconditional forgiveness.
