Review of Thoughts on Science and Faith

[Following is a volunteer review of "Thoughts on Science and Faith" by Michael John.]
Thoughts on Science and Faith by Michael John is for those who are seeking an honest understanding of the Christian faith in this scientific age. This book presents the debate between scientists, theists, and atheists regarding various fundamental truths. Michael critically examines the different viewpoints presented by these groups to extract logical conclusions. Covering topics such as time, creation, the afterlife, and Christianity, this book asserts the existence of aspects of faith that justify science and vice versa.
In every chapter, the author poses thought-provoking questions that ignite the desire for more digestible explanations. He explores the basic principles that determine the adoption or rejection of a scientific theory. To enhance our understanding, he brushes through common theories, including String theory and Hawking radiation, highlighting their strengths and drawbacks in providing satisfying answers. You will learn more about speed, light, and velocity through the inspiration of great scientists, such as Isaac Newton, Galileo Galilei, and Albert Einstein. Science has its unique perspectives on the existence of God, the possibility of the afterlife, and the purpose and meaning of life.
Away from science, the author takes us through the history of Jesus, focusing on his birth, ministry, and crucifixion. He dives deeper into the pages of the Holy Bible and references verses that explain certain Christian beliefs, such as the afterlife, resurrection, and the purpose of human existence. The intricate topic of atonement is addressed through the exploration of different theories presented by John Calvin, and Christus Victor, among others. I will let you find out how Christians perceive the appearance of 'Heaven' and what they believe about their 'Messiah'. My favorite aspect of this book is the inclusion of atheists' perspectives on these beliefs!
I must commend the editing team, as I encountered zero errors while reading. There is nothing I dislike about this book to deny it a perfect rating. I hereby rate this book five out of five stars because it is concise and insightful. I recommend it to Christian enthusiasts and lovers of science.
