"E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer is a romance suspense novel revolving around a newlywed honeymooning couple, Tom and Kelly Turbulo. Our heroine, Kelly, is relaxing in Honduras when she comes across the secret hideout of a group of terrorists planning to blow up North America through a space attack. The "E M P" in the title stands for Electro Magnetic Pulse, which is a device the terrorists plan to use to cause damage. Together, the lead couple get into work mode and make it their mission to take down the terrorists and save the nation. From going on dangerous rendezvous to fighting off terrorists through proper strategies, Dorothy takes the readers through it all in a smooth and quick fashion. Read the book to learn how Kelly and Tom beat the terrorists with the help of the CIA, a senator, and their friends.

"E M P Honeymoon" is a well-knit novel. I found it to be incredibly enjoyable and unpredictable. Through well-developed characters and a satisfying ending, Dorothy has managed to keep me hooked until the last page. I like that Kelly is not a damsel in distress and that she actually helps in taking down the enemy gang. The support team of our lead couple is also interesting and well developed. I was engrossed in reading every chapter, including that of the terrorists' perspective on America. Dorothy has done a splendid job, making us even more interested in all the characters apart from the lead couple.

I did not find anything significant to dislike in this book. My only minor issue is with the wrap-up of the book. The last section could have been more detailed on how things went, but because the epilogue answers all the questions, I'm pretty satisfied with the ending. This point is really a very minor inconvenience, which does not equate to negating a point from the overall book. The book was splendidly edited, and I did not encounter a single error while reading it.

For the above-mentioned reasons, I rate "E M P Honeymoon" 5 out of 5 stars. The minor issue I had should not bias my rating because I'm overall very happy with how the book ended.

I recommend this book to fellow romance and suspense lovers. Although this is a very lighthearted suspense novel, it is well-written, and a lot of readers will appreciate reading it in one sitting.
