The first book of the series “Tip of The Spear” that is entitled “Escape” written by Belle Ami is a very thrilling, full of action and steamy romance kind of a book. The Belle Ami’s real name is Kathryn McBride, she lives in California with her loving husband, two children, three dogs and a horse. She devoted to her life role as a mother and wife and loved every second of it, but at one point of her life she felt unfulfilled, restless, so she locked herself in a room, spent a year making her first historical book, but after reading the famous “50 Shades of Grey”, her genre completely changed, she found her true passion; steamy romantic suspense. And she is the author of the “The Only One” series and “Tip of The Spear” series.

I would prefer this book to those book lovers who are into action, spies and are intrigued about military topics. This is actually a third person narration, but words are well organized for the readers to discover who’s who. What I like about this book is that, well, yes, it is full of romance, but it does not only focus in romance, it still narrates about the happenings in their military, the reason why that certain rivalry happened, a short history about that certain beautiful place and about the doings of the other characters. I would say its suspense, confusions and romance can eat you alive while reading it.

The two main characters are Layla Wallace and Cyrus Hassani, Layla’s from Harvard University, taking a vacation in Dubai along with her rich boyfriend. While enjoying her sweet vacation along with high-class services, she and her boyfriend got kidnapped and unfortunately because her boyfriend’s a son of a rich and powerful people, they only saved him and did not even bother to rescue the girl. Cyrus is a spy and he is a master of his job, living his life meant no emotions should happen or involved. And his current mission is to rescue Layla from becoming a leverage. But that meant consequences on his life. The plan was to only rescue and escape, but as their journey played out, they encountered unavoidable problems, ambush, and many more, also blended with heated arguments, flirtations and defiance, been together for almost a week felt like a year to them. Each of them encountered unintentional attraction that both of them can’t avoid and the two of them weren’t on the same page on what to do about these feelings.

Layla is a very smart and sweet person, but can easily be ticked off especially cocky bastards. As the story plays, her reactions, emotions and actions were normal and would likely to happen to women, or even both genders if they get kidnapped. However, Cyrus is your perfect hot spy that would make you wish you’d meet someone like him, if ever you get kidnapped, well, let’s hope you don’t and you just meet a type of Cyrus in a normal way. His physique’s perfect, one glance at him and you’d get already heated, and once you get to know about his personality, you’d fall in love, he was a witty person, smart, sweet and calm all the time, there was no time that he’d turn impulsive, he knows what would exactly happen if he becomes impulsive so he thinks and analyses before he takes into action. Not only that, he always and only thinks the happiness of his loved ones, their safety and future, even if it meant cutting him out of their life or him taking his last breath, he knew the karma of his job and was not afraid of facing it as long as he faces it alone.

I personally would give this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book is awesome, it doesn’t give out less detail, it does not solely focus on romance, but it also shares a short history of the two countries, a little action, history between characters and even the supporting characters, the happenings in the story is actually very realistic and makes you aware of what is exactly happening to the world. The narration’s actually not hard to understand, it narrates just fine for the reader to understand, however, there are a few words there that is not English and it kind of confuses you and makes you curious of the translation, especially if it is not your native language but the ending! Oh my gosh the ending is just too amazing, it does not give out too much detail or gives out a frustrating cliff hanger, but an awesome ending and still intrigues you to read the next upcoming book.

I have not read this book and judging by your review, it must be a nice read. The author should have the words in foreign language translated. I don't think the reader would want to miss out on any part of the story.
