[rbc=3]id126628-125[/rbc]This book basically talks about how Cyrus, a spy who doubled as a nuclear plant professional rescued Layla, an Havard student and the daughter of an American-Israeli who was a professor in physics and who also had a project in nuclear weapons manufacture.Layla was kidnapped in Dubai while on holiday with her boyfriend Zamir, son of a wealthy Saudi businessman and a fellow college student in Havard and taken to Iran in Middle East.

While the two, Zamir and Layla were taken to Evin prison in Iran, the worst prison in the country, the parents of Zamir negotiated only for their son's freedom leaving out Layla. Cyrus was tasked by his boss, Jalal, who was the head of Ministry of Internal Security with getting Layla out of Evin prison to a designated safe house for safe custody. Dr. Wallace, Layla's father contacted his old friend and a college roomate , who was the prime minister of Israeli to America for help to rescue his daughter from Iran. Israeli government decided to use Cyrus, who was their spy and working for Iran. Cyrus was to successfully rescue Layla and take her to Israel, where her father was already waiting to be reunited. While this was a dangerous affair, Cyrus managed to rescue her and in the process found love.

What i liked most about this book is the fact that the author has used simple and explicit description of the characters, giving the reader a full and clear picture of the characters. Description of the different places is also very indulging, making the reader want to know more. This makes the flow smooth and easy to follow.

What i didnt like much about the book is the way the author introduced new character names without warning. This leaves the reader confused and it also creates a disconnect. Also the author has widely used islamic jargon to describe situations and moods, even as pet names. This makes it somewhat hard for the reader to follow. All in all what i liked most about the book is the flow of events and the dscription of the characters and places. It really painted a very clear picture of the places and countries in question. Almost feels like i have been to Iran, Israel and even Dubai. What i didnt like about the book is the use of so many Islamic conotations making it some how boring.

I give the book a rating of 3 out of 4 stars. 3 because the flow of the story is very captivating but the introduction of new character names without much warning brings some disconnect. This book would appeal to adventorous people who are cross cultured.
