This is a fictional novel about a young detective, Denise Stewart working alongside her team to find a killer who found a sense of revenge for an unfortunate series of events that happened a long time ago by murdering his victims at approximately 11:05. Clues and evidence of those murders send the rest of her team in circles but one clue brings Detective Denise Stewart in the right direction. The District Attorney is fully behind Stewart's theories on the case and encourages her. Stewart also receives hints from an unknown individual who seems to know a lot about the case and where it all started. Faced with a stalker Detective Stewart accepts help from her colleague Tom Allen who then becomes a target to the stalker. Attempting to solve the murders and find the stalker leads them to a discovery that there may be a link between the stalker and the murderer.
There are many suspects, all with a motive but little evidence to go on as the killer seems to know a lot about covering his or her tracks. Trying to Discover who the next target of the 11:05 murderer is the only hope of saving the next victim and catching the killer. The 11:05 murderer however is always one step ahead and it becomes a tiring race to keep up and put the pieces together before someone else gets hurt. With Stewart in grave danger the team has to move quickly to finally put an end to the murders. The answer is right under their nose, however it is missed by all until Chief Inspector Sheehan starts putting the pieces of the puzzle together. He is sure he has the answer and so he and Stewart's colleague lead the way to the killer's hideout hoping that they make it in time before another life is lost.
I rate the 11:05 murders a 3 out of 4 stars. It was a very good read from start to finish and I found it difficult to take a break from reading. The story line was clear and there was a good build up to the conclusion. The book provided good suspense as it took some time for me as the reader to discover the killer. The 11:05 Murders was descriptive enough for my imagination to create a visual of the scenes in the novel. The editing and proofreading was also almost perfect as well as the use of words.
What made this book good for me was the establishing of the characters and their role and I was drawn in to the main characters. Detective Stewart's character came across as one with a lot of pain hidden behind a seemingly hard shell. Her colleague Tom and her superior Sheehan are strong upstanding men. Because the book was well written I was able to clearly visualize the scenes. There were a few good twists in the novel that were definitely unexpected.
What I did think could have made this book better was just a little more suspense and twists in solving the case. Apart from that an overall good suspense novel.
