This first book in the “Tribe Warriors Series,” The Bonding by Imogen Keeper is an excellent book for those of you into science fiction romance. A storyline that will keep your attention and leave you wanting more from this author. A wonderful start to what seems to be a great series to come. The characters are riveting and seem to take on a life of their own with spunky personalities and a page turner romance similar to Romeo and Juliet but with a much happier ending.
The heroine, Nissa the queen-designate of Triannon is thrust into space with the fate of her people on her shoulders. Nissa, her parents, and the designated king must choose less than one-hundred single young women to enter space in cryo-pods in hope of saving their people from a disgusting fate worse than death.
Fast forward five hundred years into the future Nissa’s cryo-pod is found by a warrior of Tribe Argentus named Tam. Nissa awakens with the blue tinge which could have deadly consciences unless Tam gives her his serum which would not only save her but bond her to him in a way that neither would expect. As time goes on Nissa begins to question her bond to Tam wondering if the feelings she has for him are hers or merely the chemical makeup running through her body from his serum. As Nissa questions her love for Tam, Tam knows his love for her is true and he will do anything to keep her including letting her go.
As Nissa’s people are found and slowly awaken from their long slumber Nissa is given a choice her people or the uncertainty of Tam. Her decision will mean the life of her people or a life of her own making. Will she follow the destiny she was meant to have and save her people or will she stay will the man she loves and write her own destiny leaving her people without a leader? The choice is hers and hers alone, what will she choose.
All in all my opinion of this book is simple I absolutely loved it and hope that you will too. Read this book and find out what Nissa’s choice will be her people or her love. Take the plunge in to this wonderful journey and see find out what happens to Tam and Nissa I assure you, you won’t be disappointed. I rate this book a 3 out of 4 stars happy reading and prepared to fall in love with a great book.
