Hello, My Love (Between Two Worlds #1) is a modern Love Story by Evy Journey. This book describes the purity of love and the pain of a heart break very well. Elise Halverson and Gregory Thorpe are the main characters of the story.

Elise Halverson is a beautiful, young law student. She is a very independent girl, focused on a career and distrustful of men. On the other hand, Greg is the handsome and most eligible bachelor having a picture of a playboy. Elise’s father Dr. Halverson is an economics professor and Greg went to him for counsels. Greg falls in love with Elise at first sight and tries hard to break the divider amongst him and Elise. Greg starts showing up as often as possible at the dinner parties her parents throw, they start to catch each other and, in spite of her discipline and strength of character, Elise Halverson gets herself irreversibly attracted to this man and her defensive shell begins splitting.

Elise and Greg spend a night together a day prior to his marriage. When Greg calls off his wedding due to his love for Elise, his jilted fiancée claims retribution and tries to demolish Greg. He feels helpless and in order to protect Elise from his fiancée, he breaks all contacts with her. In the meantime, Elise feels that Greg has deceived her and her heart breaks. When she gets to know that she is pregnant, she breaks down and feels that she has let her parents down. She chooses to bring forth her child and approaches her parents for offer assistance.

I enjoyed reading this book. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I liked the solid character of Elise Halverson. The love of parents is additionally depicted wonderfully in this book. The way in which Elise’s parents accepted her decision of raising a child on her own and the efforts they put into helping her draws consideration towards the book. The plot and story line of this book is elegantly composed, giving emphasize on the depth of the characters. There are many twists and turns in the story. Unpredictability of the plot attracts the attention of the readers. The author has covered all the aspects of the modern love stories such as the realities that are often faced by the couples in compelling relationships—revenge of a jilted lover, past relationships, abortion, career choices, reactions of friends and relatives. I also liked the way in which Elise’s friend supports her during her rough time. This book also contains mystery which adds more profundity to the story.

The way in which characters of the book evolve as the story unfolds is something I admire about the book. But there are some scenes which lacked depth and are not well written. For example, the scenes in which Greg admits to Elise that he loves her and the first time they made love to each other, lacked depth. Furthermore, the scene where Greg meets his son for the first time could have been more intense as it lacked some expressions.
There are no spelling mistakes and no grammatical errors throughout the book. All the chapters of the book are marked differently which facilitates the reading. All the paragraphs and sentences are well ordered. Formatting of the book is good. As a whole, it is a book worth reading and readers would enjoy reading it.

Seems like a sweet tale. I like it when the plot is unpredictable and well-written. Too bad that some scenes lacked depth, though. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Nice review! :)
