[Following is a volunteer review of "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis.]
The book Play Golf Better Faster: The Golf Bag Book was written by Kalliope Barlis in 2015. It is a great choice of book, not only if you want to learn to play golf but also if you want to improve your skills in general as a person. I personally do not play golf, but I learned so many tricks and tips from this book. Because the aforementioned strategies are applicable to everything that you want to learn or improve.
This book also includes exercises, which will definitely help you practice your skills and enhance your performance even more. It started by discussing the fundamental key points that you need to know in order to apply them to playing games or the skills that you want to be an expert at. I like that it started with the basics before everything got a little bit complicated or specific.
In terms of technicalities like grammar and how it was written as a whole, I'll rate it 5/5. This is professionally written, and I have not seen any grammatical errors while reading. But above all, I highly commend the way it was written because it's captivating. It won't bore the reader, and you'll feel the sincerity of the author to share the knowledge with others. I had fun reading it, especially when the author said that using jargon words wouldn't be practiced in this book to make it easier for the readers to understand. This book won't overwhelm you with golf terminologies.
One of my favorite parts is when it discusses neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). You will learn the importance of this in terms of recognizing someone's ability to do things better when he believes that he already has the resources that only need to be used properly. This improves your senses and thinking, which will give great results.
In conclusion, I recommend this book even if you are not into golf or sports in general, like me. Because this can teach you how to train your mind to achieve your goals. And you'll realize why sports like golf are considered mental games.
