[Following is a volunteer review of "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis.]
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis is a book in the non-fiction genre. This book is a perfect appendage to her book, Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast. However, you do not need to read any other book to understand it.
This book deals with many topics discussed in Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast. However, this book is shorter and could serve as an introduction to the subject matter. I recommend reading the longer book after this one to know more about the subject. The author notes that one needs physical and mental practice to improve in the game. The difference between the longer book and this handbook is that this handbook deals with the subject more directly and also explains some of the tangible applications of the lessons given within. The lessons in the book are also applicable in daily life. A person who is not aiming to improve at golf will also benefit from this book.
The writing is concise and quick. It expresses information quickly. The readers can visualize the subject matter effectively due to the inclusion of diagrams. Even though one can finish it in an hour, readers should read it multiple times to remember the instructions.
This handbook is the third book by Kalliope Barlis that I have read. The first two were Phobia Relief: From Fear to Freedom and Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast. After reading the above books, it is clear that the author can consistently deliver concise and accurate information.
The writing suits the subject matter. The text is well-edited. I found no grammatical or editing errors in the text. It serves as a handbook for any golf player. I found nothing to dislike about this book. Accounting for all the above points, I give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars. I will recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their golf skills.
