Ben Schneider's science fiction novel "Chrome Mountain" delivers a compelling narrative that not only entertains but also leaves a lasting emotional impact on the reader. It masterfully weaves together action-packed, suspenseful tech storylines, featuring a formidable female lead named Sonya McCall and an unforgettable hero, Trey Radisson. Yet, beneath the surface lies something even more unsettling, concealed behind Sonya McCall's agitated eyes.

The book comprises thirty chapters. The story begins with the introduction of Sonya McCall, a former member of the violent biker gang, the Screaming Demons. Fed up with their illegal activities and mistreatment by their leader, Levi, she decides to break free. Subsequently, we meet Trey Radisson, a scientist tormented by recurring nightmares stemming from his creation of cloaking technology.

Trey finds himself entangled in a desperate struggle to evade the clutches of terrorists. Ben Schneider crafts a gripping, cinematic tale populated with unforgettable characters. Trey emerges as a charming and astute hero, navigating extraordinary circumstances with a touch of innocence. His dynamic relationship with the fearless and determined Sonya adds depth to the narrative, while the looming threats posed by cunning adversaries like Lieutenant Zuri and the ruthless gang leader, Levi, evoke a palpable sense of fear.

From the opening page, this science fiction saga's relentless pace captivates readers. Schneider excels in vividly portraying both the setting and characters, lending the story rich depth. Furthermore, Schneider skillfully injects subtle humor into scenes, adding depth to even the most minor characters.

There was nothing to dislike in this book. Notably, the book is impeccably edited. Even upon close inspection, I couldn't find a single error. Therefore, I unequivocally rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend "Chrome Mountain" to anyone fond of mystery and thrilling adventures. Whether curled up by the fireplace or lounging on a beach, Ben Schneider's novel promises an engrossing escape.
