Barlis played golf for the first time in her life in her twenties. She decided to pursue the sport professionally, so she enrolled in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Within two years, she became a professional golf player. Many people were stunned by her achievements, given that she had no prior experience in golf and wasn’t in the best shape physically for the sport. In Play Golf Better Faster: The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast, Kalliope Barlis details how she achieved the necessary fitness levels and what she did to become an accomplished professional golf player within two years.

My love for golf started when I was in middle school. Although I never had the privilege of playing the sport, the players mesmerized me. They exuded confidence, class, and a level of composure that I admired. Golf is still my favorite sport, and this book reminded me why I fell in love with the sport.

The tools and techniques shared by Barlis require commitment but are practical and promise to yield exceptional results. Her story is inspirational, and I like how she educates readers in an understandable and relatable manner. I found the application and benefits of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) intriguing and wished to gain more knowledge about this concept. However, she referenced many other sources readers can consult to learn about NLP. I enjoyed reading about the sport, her experiences, tips, and tricks. There were no aspects of the book that I disliked.

The book was edited exceptionally, as I did not notice any errors. I enjoyed reading the book and learned a few techniques and tricks professionals employ to master the game. My final rating of the book is 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to readers who are interested in playing golf and to those who are already playing golf and wish to improve their game drastically. This book is for golfers of all genders, but female readers will find it even more worthwhile.

I have read this book and found it informative. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us.
‘When you do a good deed, people are grateful, and that creates a nice feeling inside you; and then because it feels good, that makes you want to do more good deeds. That repetition is the cycle of goodness.’
