One of the leading causes of death worldwide is cancer. The fact that there is no exact treatment for cancer is even more astounding and concerning. Chemotherapy and medication are the only ways to control it, and they frequently have severe side effects. However, what if there was a natural way to treat cancer? Sylvie Beljanski's memoir, Winning the War on Cancer, walks us through the development of natural cancer treatments and cures.

Written by Sylvie Beljanski, the Vice President of the Beljanski Foundation, which advocates for natural cancer care, which was the legacy of her father, scientist and researcher Mirko Beljanski, the book narrates the true story behind her father’s research and the organization. It takes us through the success and growth story of the organization due to Sylvie’s passion for her father’s legacy. It also clearly showed the struggles of the organization due to the interference of government policies just to prevent the world from knowing about the safer alternative to cancer care, for personal and selfish interests. The book goes on to demonstrate how the natural approach, which makes use of plant extracts and other natural items, may effectively treat cancer with very few side effects.

Winning the War on Cancer is a well-written and engaging book that provides a wealth of information not only about cancer but also about how natural products can help in treating cancer. I found this book very insightful because cancer has always been a topic shrouded in mystery. The book carefully explains why the natural method is better and how it works. Furthermore, it provides a very detailed explanation of scientific terms that may be foreign to readers with a non-scientific background. This makes the book a very insightful and enjoyable read.

Other than the minor hitches in the narration, I don't dislike anything about the book. It was written in clear and simple English, making it very easy for the reader to understand and flow with the book.

I rate this book five out of five stars for its educational and informative content. The book was well edited, and I found no grammatical or spelling errors while reading it. I recommend this book for individuals or individuals with relatives battling with cancer. I also highly recommend it for individuals interested in learning more about cancer and how natural treatments for cancer work. It is a very insightful read with very useful information that would greatly increase your wealth of knowledge.
