The book Solaris Seethes is about a spaceship and its captain. The ship itself is unique in the fact that it can think, analyze and form its own ideas and opinions. Rynah, the captain of the ship, has to learn how to successfully work with Solaris, the ship, and the passengers that are brought aboard to help on her mission. Rynah, is familiar with the old legend about powerful crystals, but does she truly believe in the old legend? She has struggled with the idea for a long time, but maybe just maybe her grandfather was correct, and he wasn’t mad. With the help of some unlikely passengers, will Rynah be able to restore stability to her planet? Will she be able to forgive herself for her disbelief in her grandfather?

The book Solaris Seethes is well written and is a fast read. The main characters are introduced to the reader quickly with brief descriptions in the beginning of the book. This first book takes us into the past, present, and future. Each chapter is fast paced and easy to read. This book leaves you on the edge of your seat, and wanting to purchase the second book to find out what happens to Rynah and her crew. I really enjoyed the back knowledge on the crew that are helping Rynah, and why they were chosen to help in the mission.

The one main thing that I didn’t like about this story was the lack of back information on Klanor. Why did he want the crystals so much, and how was he introduced to the legend of the crystals? I felt like I was missing information throughout the whole story because of this missing information. Klanor is a major character in this story and we need more back information on him.

I give the book Solaris Seethes a rating of 2 out of 4 stars, because I would have liked to know more about Klanors background and history. Also having some of the story from his point of view would have been beneficial. Klanor is a major character in the story, and some of the story from his point of view would help create a full understanding of the story plot.

I think this book would appeal to young adults, and readers interested in a futuristic sci-fi book that has a link to the past, present, and future. It is a great read if you are looking for a fast paced, edge of your seat read. If you are looking for a romance book, this book would most likely not appeal to you.

I think I would want to know more about why Klanor was so interested in these crystals as well. I haven't read the book, and I'm still not sure I really want to. Thanks for your review.

Great Review! I read this book too and had difficulty getting through it. I loved the action and the pace went well. I didn't like Rynah, she had no character development. I also agree with the little back story. One minute she is engaged and the next he betrays her, all with the first 5 pages. So I would have liked more development there too! Great job!
