Abigail is an experienced demon hunter. She meets Haatim when a group of people, who were possessed, tried to kidnap him and use him as a vessel. Abigail saved him and planned to leave him a few counties away from where he lived and continue on to a mission that she was assigned to. Haatim insisted that she take him along with her to Raven's Peak, where the council told her there was suspicious activity going on. At first there seemed to be no problems in this little town, but as Abigail and Haatim searched deeper she found out that the situation was not as simple as she first thought.

This book was like watching an episode of Supernatural, interesting and full of action. It was very easy to follow and I did not find myself backtracking in confusion. In addition to this, the book kept me guessing what would happen next.

What I liked most about this book was how Haatim never gave up on Abigail. When she told him everything he wanted to know, he never just left her. Even when she told him things that he did not know, including things about his own family. When she told him to do something he did it and when she told him that he did not have to do something he did it. When he could help people he made sure that he did and avoided hurting innocent people.

The thing I liked least about this book was how Abigail always referred back to Author when she did something, like fighting and hunting. Although he taught her everything she knows, it is very rude that all she thinks about is what Author taught her. Haatim taught her things that did not relate to hunting and I don't think she realizes it. I feel that she really loves Author but he sent himself to hell and she should focus on the people that are still on the earth and who are looking out for her as best as they can.

As far as grammar, there were no mistakes. This book was very well written and only included a handful of spelling mistakes. I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I gave this book three stars because it does not seem to be professionally overlooked. Also because this is not something that I would typically read and enjoy. Despite this, I really liked this book and am looking forward to a second book, if there happens to be one.
