[Following is a volunteer review of "EMA" by Aian D. Grey.]
EMA by Aian D. Grey is an amazing fictional book about the hazards of climate change in the future and the possible contribution from artificial intelligence that would be beneficial for the earth.
It is the summer of 2084, when the Earth has become so hot due to the continuous climate change ongoing for decades. The main protagonist of the story, Jason, attends a conference with Damien Minsky, the creator of EMA. EMA is basically a smart robot made to monitor and control the levels of factors leading to environmental damage. As the story unfolds, circumstances get worse when a conspiracy against Earth comes into the picture. Will Jason and Damien's AI become successful in protecting the planet from possible destruction? Go and find out!
The best thing about this book was that the author included artificial intelligence as part of the protection plan. Although AI has its cons too, if it can be helpful in preventing damage to the earth, why not make use of it? Moreover, the characters were well developed and unique. The language is pretty easy to understand and clear. The author's exceptional thought process is clearly evident from the fact that writing about the future requires great thinking.
Although I absolutely loved reading this book, I felt it was a bit fast-paced. So I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I found a good message in the book that we should be aware that this planet will not be the same as it is today. We should take measures to protect our environment and resources. I absolutely loved the author's knowledge and the information provided in the book.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read science fiction and artificial intelligence. People looking for books on climate change and its hazards will get help from this book. Anyone who loves robots and wants to know more about them will surely enjoy it to the core.
