"My Trip To Adele" by R.I. Alyaseer and A.I. Alyaseer published in September of 2016. Is an intriguing fictional novel focusing on the life of three protagonists; who have a love for Adele music and an eight year period of significance in lost love for Elias, failed marriage for Yaser and freedom for Nadia.

The book begins with Elias who is forced go back to Marrakeh, to find a footing with his long lost love of eight years, Malika. A fortune teller claims Kanza, Malika's mother, had cast up a break up spell between him and Malika therefore Elias is required to break up the spell in order to get Malika back. Yaser the second protagonist, is trying to revive the lost love between him and his wife in their frosty eight year marriage. A marriage counselor advises they look for a memory to revive and he picks on the Adele concert. Nadia the last protagonist is a single divorced mother, who decides to give her son a birthday present to the Adele concert; and enjoy unrestricted freedom with his son in Italy, as well as, celebrate her eight years of free life since being a single mother.

Elias journey to Marrakesh re- awakens the ghosts of Malika's sizzling love and the bitter reality that he might never find her. But then again, he might find her if he keeps to the promise he told Malika on the last day of his departure, when they were together. Yaser on the other hand, rebels against her wife and her God until when he realizes some things require sacrifice. "He stood on the doorstep of his cold house; where the sounds of laughter from his kids playing in the backyard made him realize that there are more important things in life, and that they require sacrifice." Nadia is treated to a rude shock when she realized that her ex-husband has banned her son from travelling. She is torn between going ahead to travel alone to prove to her ex-husband that she is untamed or to respond to the motherhood call deep down her, and go back home with her son.

The duo R.I. Alyaseer and A.I Alyaseer are born storytellers and have an undeniable way with words. The story is readable and relatable with a touch of Adele music lyrics at the end of each chapter, which perfectly fit the scene. There is very little grammatical errors, also, the last chapter of the book feels rushed because of the three storylines the authors tries to fit in. The descriptive details of the shattah and the Moulay Brahim adventures are clear enough to see as the book unfolds. However, this does not slow down the pace of the story.

The writing is personal using the first person point of view; which adds to the intimate relationship of the reader, to the protagonists. By the end of the book I feel invested in the characters. The end is so unpredictable which adds to an exciting feeling of mystery on the book. Also, my love for Adele music was heightened by the book, I went as far as to listen to some of her songs.

I wholeheartedly rate "My Trip To Adele" 4 out of 4 stars! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a good read and a book that will make you shake your head in disbelief at some of the things that happen under one sky. (I also recommend listening to the Adele song assigned at the end of each chapter to add a little in- depth to the story.)

I like a story that goes like this. For I'm sure, the next sequel of the book will explain better and a bit more interesting. Beautiful review. :D
