"In Bluewater Walkabout: Into Africa," Tina Dreffin shares her poignant journey of overcoming past traumas, including sexual assault and abuse, as she navigates a turbulent emotional landscape. Encouraged by her husband, Peter, she embarks on a transformative expedition across the South Pacific Ocean, seeking solace and redemption from her inner turmoil. The narrative promises gripping adventures and perilous challenges as the family confronts the unknown, leaving readers captivated by Tina's resilience and the vivid descriptions that transport them into the heart of the journey.

The author invites readers into the extraordinary lifestyle she shares with her husband on the ocean, where they encounter both exhilarating adventures and daunting challenges. Through a blend of captivating storytelling and personal reflection, Tina navigates the complexities of her trauma while embracing the joys and tribulations of parenthood. The narrative revolves around a perilous voyage through treacherous waters around Africa, where the author grapples with the responsibility of safeguarding her teenage sons and their friends amidst the inherent dangers of both the sea and the African continent. The book intertwines themes of romance, heartbreak, and humor, offering readers a multifaceted exploration of love, loss, and the pursuit of healing amidst life's unpredictable journey.

The story in this book is a captivating and well-crafted memoir that skillfully balances heavy themes with a positive tone. The author's ability to make technical terms accessible and to navigate between different time frames while maintaining clarity is commendable. The relatable writing style and vivid descriptions allow readers to connect deeply with the story, even if they haven't experienced similar situations themselves. The author's writing prowess made me easily understand the narrative and quickly connect to the author's journey.

There is nothing I dislike about this book. The book is professionally edited because I only found one error in the book.

I rate this book five out of five stars because of some lessons I got from it. I recommend this book to nature enthusiasts, travel lovers, and those seeking adventurous memoirs. Those seeking adventurous memoirs.

I understand that Ms. Dreffin embarked on this adventure with four teenage boys. I only had one so I cannot imagine the amount of stress she added to herself. Thanks!
