Almost every person is trying to live a healthy life depending on trusted and proved techniques. In this book, HEALTH TIPS, MYTHS, AND TRICKS: A Physician’s Advice, which is a health-related book, Dr. Morton E. Tavel tries to explain scientific tips and tricks to avoid health myths going around. Dr. Tavel discusses many health issues, eating habits, and lifestyles. Dr. Tavel is a physician in internal medicine, he has carried out respectful medical research of 120 publications and book reviews. If you're seeking for a healthier life free of health myths, then this book is for you.

Dr. Tavel writes about nearly 99% of eating habits, describes ways to show how good or bad they are, and how to change these habits to get optimum health levels. Furthermore, he writes about some general diseases and explains some trusted scientific ways to treat and prevent them. then, discusses critical health issues related to products largely consumed nowadays. For instance, dietary supplements, artificial sweeteners, genetically modified crops, organic and gluten free foods, alternative medicine, and much more.

This book is not the first for Dr. Tavel, he also wrote, Snake Oil is Alive and Well where he also tried to dispel misconceptions and myths related to nutrition and health, so he decided to keep working on this issue in this book between our hands.

As a part of the medical kingdom, Dr. Tavel is very well-informed about all stratagems planned by food companies to increase sales regardless to public health, so he gives a detailed explanation of most of these stratagems and how to avoid them so we can adapt a healthier life.

This book, in my point of view, really stands out for many reasons. first, Dr. Tavel doesn't only give us his own point of views or his personal opinions, he based his work on recent trust worthy studies and trials carried out by well-known international organizations. secondly, his most of work derived from an eclectic collection of materials, scientific publications, trusted media reports, and trust worthy resources. Furthermore, everything is well-explained, very few jargons, and there is nothing ambiguous for almost all types of readers. Finally, from a personal perspective, this book can change the way of thinking about many of eating habits and day-to-day lifestyle.

There is nothing to be disliked about the book except a few spelling and grammar mistakes that don't worth mentioning here. But, it needs a professional proofreading. so, I rate this book, 3 out of 4 stars. I believe that everyone reads this book would think twice about everything they eat and drink. Dr. Tavel in this book has given really new ideas to adopt a much healthier life. If really recommend this book, not only readers who only read about health but also every person who cares about their lives.
